Toothless Ted enchants RSPCA staffer
December 19 2008
Every now and again an animal comes to the RSPCA and staff can't help but fall in love.
Enter Ted, a tiny adult cat who was trapped in a house fire earlier this year and who arrived at our clinic with serious burns as well as damage to his gums which caused him to lose all but four of his teeth.
It's fair to say it was touch and go for Ted in the beginning, but this tiny cat is a lot stronger and definitely more determined than he looks.
Ted has been with us since October and has been through a long and very difficult recovery. The past few weeks however, have seen a dramatic improvement in Ted who has steadily put on weight and return to his energetic and happy self. His recovery would certainly have been significantly slower had it not been for the dedicated care and affection of one particular Animal Attendant, Kerryn Wood.
Kerryn has spent endless hours making a fuss of Ted, providing him with delicate care and generally spoiling him rotten, so it came as no real surprise when she announced she was going to adopt her favourite feline!
We’re pleased that this adorable cat has gone to someone who is quite clearly madly in love with him and congratulations must go to Ted for working the “sad and lonely kitty” angle so successfully!
We wish them both a wonderful Christmas and happy healthy New Year.
