RSPCA jumps onto Flickr
March 27 2009
RSPCA WA has just launched its foray in Flickr, the online photography service that makes viewing large numbers of images fun and easy.
With some of the best photographers in WA providing images for the RSPCA almost every week, Flickr was an inevitable step according to WA Spokesman and Webmaster Richard Barry.
"We have literally thousands of images that people will definitely want to see and Flickr just makes it easy for anyone online to see them. Couple that with our very popular Facebook site and we really are feeling very 21st Century!"
The plan with Flickr, Barry explained, is to upload images of all the animals that come through the Society's doors as well as documenting events and special people - including our newest Ambassador Karate champion Jessica Bratich (pictured) - who do so much great work for the RSPCA. "We want our Flickr pages to be full of animal images but we also want people to get interactive with what we're doing online, so if anyone has a really great photo they'd like to share with us, let us know."
To see the new Flickr pages simply visit http://www.flickr.com/photos/rspcawa/ or click here.
Barry said: "We've only just launched the new Flickr site but we'll be uploading plenty of images over the coming weeks and once A Million Paws Walk gets going, we'll be expecting hundreds of images from everyone who attends."
Don't forget the RSPCA of WA also has an incredibly popular Facebook site. Just go to facebook and search for RSPCA WA. We'd be very happy to see you.
