How to Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us. RSPCA WA has an ongoing need for volunteers in the following areas.
Importantly, for the happiness and welfare of our animals, as well as for your own personal safety and wellbeing, there are a number of criteria that our volunteers must be able to meet. These include:
All volunteers must be 18 years and above.
For animal enrichment volunteers: You need to be able to commit to at least one shift per fortnight for a period of at least three consecutive months to ensure consistency for the animals.
We host quarterly induction cycles, specifically designed for animal enrichment volunteers. Volunteers have to be able to participate in all relevant training, before starting to volunteer with us to ensure the safety of both the volunteers as well as our animals.
We strive to make your volunteer experience as positive and enriching a possible. You can help us doing so by showing commitment towards your role. Letting us know when you can’t make your shift, is just one way of doing so.
Most positions require a police check and possible medical examination.
If you are interested in volunteering with us, please fill in the Volunteer Application form. This will add your information to our database and you will automatically receive regular calls for positions available.
For any questions or comments, please feel free to contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
