RSPCA WA is working closely with Joondalup police
The RSPCA WA has been working closely with the Joondalup police in locating the perpetrator responsible for throwing a dog from an overpass along the Mitchell Freeway, Perth, on January 22, 2016, at approximately 6am.
Since the investigation began yesterday, the authorities have been working tirelessly with valuable input from the public and witnesses. Some strong leads have been generated and the investigation continues.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier, now identified as Tinkerbell from the microchip, was taken to a vet in Balcatta and put down due to severe injuries inflicted from the fall. The vet records were handed over to the RSPCA WA to assist in the investigation.
We are urging for the person responsible for this act of cruelty to come forward voluntarily, as there is substantial leads which the investigators believe will lead them to the offender. Witnesses or anyone else with any information are encouraged to contact the RSPCA WA 1300 278 3589
