RSPCA WA traces owners of Tinkerbell

With close co-operation from the Joondalup police, the RSPCA WA has traced and been in contact with the co-owners of 9 month old Tinkerbell, as the investigation unfolds to locate the offender responsible for throwing her from an overpass along the Mitchell Freeway, Perth, on January 22, 2016, at approximately 6am.

The owners registered on the microchip on Tinkerbell, a 32-year old woman and her former boyfriend, a 36-year old man, have been questioned at length by the RSPCA. The personal identities are not able to be disclosed at this point in time as they are assisting with inquiries on the investigation.

The RSPCA is presently examining further evidence which includes CCTV footage from an adjacent retailer which may have covered the surrounding area where the offense was carried out.

We continue to urge the person responsible for this act of cruelty to come forward voluntarily. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the vicinity of Grey Rd Padbury or Eddystone Ave overpass in the early hours of Friday morning is encouraged to contact the RSPCA WA 1300 278 3589.
