WARNING - Graphic Content

RSPCA WA and WA Police are appealing for information relating to a mutilated dog found in Mandurah last Thursday, 21 June.

Mandurah Rangers responded to a call about an American Staffy cross dog found with a deep laceration around the circumference of its torso and abrasions to its paws and face.

The dog was found on Waterside Drive in Dudley Park, Mandurah, approximately 1km from its home.

The Rangers rushed the dog to a local vet, who called the owners. Due to the serious nature of its wounds, the decision was made to end the dog’s suffering.

CCTV footage from the area shows the dog walking along Leslie St just 25 minutes before it was found wounded.

If you have any CCTV footage from the area around Leslie Street and Waterside Drive in Dudley Park from the afternoon of Thursday, 21 June 2018, if you've noticed a pool of blood nearby, or if you saw anyone suspicious in the area around that time, please contact RSPCA WA on 1300 278 3589 or WA Police on 1800 333 000.
