With more horses set to arrive next week, we are now just getting prepared for the adoption process of these horses which will take some time assessing horse compatibility with potential new owners who have suitable equine experience.
Expressions of interest are sought from those interested in adopting.

The Select Committee to inquire into the operations of the RSPCA WA was established in the Upper House of the Parliament of Western Australia on 13 May 2015.
It has taken more than a year for this inquiry to finally reach a conclusion. During this time, RSPCA WA has endeavoured, at great expense, to co-operate with the demands placed on our organisation by this Committee.

RSPCA WA Community Action Days are free events where local communities can get together to meet RSPCA Inspectors, local Rangers, local vets, animal rescue organisations and dog trainers.
Through these events, we aim to show people how to be a responsible pet owner and that includes providing information about common problems like fleas, worms, ticks, fly bitten ears, mange, shelter, food and water. We work with rangers to explain pet registrations and local council laws, and there are vets available to give free advice and check-ups.

Nine stallions that have been treated and cared for at Gingin Vet since a huge horse rescue operation conducted by RSPCA WA over a week ago are responding well to treatment.

RSPCA WA has conducted a large scale rescue operation involving over twenty malnourished horses including stallions, pregnant mares and foals. More than a dozen of these horses, in the most severe condition, were transported back to the RSPCA Animal Care Centre in Malaga today.

27 year old Joshua David Rona was sentenced to a $2000 fine and a five year prohibition period from coming in contact with an animal, in the Joondalup Magistrates Court this morning on charges brought against him by an RSPCA WA inspector for maliciously beating his four year old male Bulldog, Buddah and for obstructing an inspector from exercising her power under the Animal Welfare Act 2002.

A collaborative effort between rangers from Halls Creek rangers, RSPCA WA Inspectors, specialists from Kimberley Vets and supporters at Aeropets has resulted in a badly emaciated dog and her eight pups being flown to Perth for a second chance at a happy life.
